Celebrity who got married in 2017

2017 has been an eventful year for the Bollywood film industry. Apart from movies and stars making headlines, a number of B-town celebs tying the knot with their significant other also grabbed its due share of the spotlight. This year saw some grand pre-wedding functions, fairytale weddings and gala star-studded after parties. These celebrations brought out tinsel town's biggest stars in their best attire. With the bride and groom dolled up like they’re living a fairy-tale, some of these weddings were too surreal for words. 1. Sagarika Ghatge and Zaheer Khan

Actress Sagarika Ghatge of ‘Chak De! India’ fame and cricketer Zaheer Khan exchanged their nuptial vows in a private ceremony at the cricketer's Lower Parel residence in Mumbai on November 23, 2017, in the presence of family and close friends. The two had exchanged rings in May with a grand engagement ceremony. The couple reportedly had a registered marriage in a low key ceremony where Sagarika was seen clad in a red saree and her handsome hubby sported a baby pink Kurta. The intimate ceremony was followed by consecutive star-studded wedding parties which saw celebs from the film fraternity and cricket world in attendance.


2. Hrishitaa Bhatt and Anand Tiwari


Hrishitaa Bhatt tied the knot with boyfriend Anand Tiwari on March 4, 2017 in an exotic ceremony. The actress' wedding to the diplomat for the United Nations was largely a private event. Hrishitaa looked beautiful in a coral lehenga paired up with a light gold dupatta while hubby Anand looked dapper in a beige and gold sherwani with a velvet maroon turban. He carried a coral dupatta to complement Hrishitaa’s attire.



3.  Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth


Actress Ishita Dutta, sister of former Miss India Tanushree Dutta tied the knot with her longtime boyfrie
nd Vatsal Sheth in a hush-hush ceremony at the Iskcon temple in Mumbai on November 28, 2017. The wedding was attended by the couple's families and close friends. Bollywood made its presence felt with appearances from celebs like Bobby Deol, Sohail Khan, Ishita's on-screen father from 'Drishyam' Ajay Devgn with wife Kajol among others at the wedding reception. Ishita looked like a delight in her red lehenga and Vatsal looked dapper in a cream sherwani.


4. Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay


Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay tied the knot as per traditional Hindu rituals in an intimate wedding ceremony on February 9, 2017. Their picture-perfect wedding in Udaipur was like a page out of a fairytale. Neil looked regal in a cream and maroon sherwani while his bride looked gorgeous in a red and orange lehenga. The festivities went on for days, thus easily making this one of the fanciest weddings in B-town. They had a dreamy engagement, a lavish mehendi and sangeet, a gala wedding followed by a grand reception.


5. Aftab Shivdasani and Nin Dusanj


Actor Aftab Shivdasani and wife Nin Dusanj tied the knot for the second time in an intimate ceremony in Sri Lanka. The long-time lovebirds actually had registered their marriage on June 11, 2014. The wedding was attended by family and close friends. Aftab looked suave in white kurta pyjamas with silver work and a turban. On the other hand, Nin looked ethereal in an ivory coloured lehenga with gold embroidery, however, it was her Kundan jewellery that stole the show.
 The celebrations took place over a span of two days with a mehendi and celebratory party on the beach on day one. On the second day, there was a Hindu wedding ceremony where the couple had flown in their pundit from Mumbai and walked around the fire. It was followed by a Buddhist blessing with local Sri Lankan monks


6. Amrita Puri and Imrun Sethi

The wedding bells rang for actress Amrita Puri of 'Aisha' fame and her long-time restaurateur beau Imrun Sethi in a very intimate destination wedding in Bangkok November 15, 2017. Amrita wore a gorgeous light peach lehenga and bridal kundan jewellery while the groom was seen clad in a classic cream sherwani and a lime green turban for the nuptials. The colour of her bridal ensemble was in line with the floral pink theme which went by the tagline 'Eat Drink Love'.
